Applications are invited for the Bologna Observatory Cassini Fellowship:
a 2-years postdoctoral research position at INAF – Osservatorio Astronomico di Bologna

The position is available immediately and will last for 2 years with the possibility of extension
by one or more years depending on funding and performance evaluation.
Applicants must have Ph.D in astronomy or astrophysics or a Master Degree in Astronomy and
Astrophysics and at least 3 years of documented research experience after the degree.
Successful candidates will be expected to undertake a program of research in one of the
following areas of activity at OABO:

(i) Stellar Astrophysics and Resolved Stellar Populations
see e.g.;

(ii) Extragalactic Astronomy: from Galaxy formation and evolution to
Super-Massive Black Holes and Large-Scale Structures:
see e.g.;

Generic proposals are welcome , as we will select candidates on their ability to propose and pursue new ideas and researches.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief (~2 pages including figures) description of research interests by February 29th, 2016.
